We all have a story to tell about our journey with dysphonia, and while there many similarities, very few will ever be the same.
In the interest of educating her patients and others, Dr Kristin Soda, a Cairns based GP created a video to share her personal experience from losing her voice through to finally being diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia.
Kristin tells her story, helping us to spread the word on what spasmodic dysphonia is and what to look out for.
Thanks Kristin – we love your work !
Great blog! It’s comforting to know I’m not alone, and yes everyone’s story is different But equally as important. I am a specialist nurse and I’m finding it hard to work. It’s a very debilitating condition that is poorly understood. I am.writing my own blog to get the message out there (I’m in the UK)

Would you mind following and sharing? We can all work together raising awareness. ❤

Lovely to hear from you and I appreciate your predicament as a nurse (me too) . I found my way into population health / health promotion many years ago making work a little more flexible. Love to follow and share your blog. Good Luck 🙂

Thank you so much. I have put a subscribe button at the top of my page so just enter your email.
My sister lives in Brisbane, she is a GP and knew what it was when I told her I had it. Many doctors have not heard of it.
I need to find a way of working part time. I’m hoping my blog will lead to something…..

Interesting – when I clicked your link it took me to a wordpress message which said the site was decommissioned – taken down by the owner (I wish I could attach a screenshot for you ) – I’ll check again later – but may be worth you looking into 🙂 Good Luck and I look forward to reading your story.
