We were very excited to be invited to present at the University of Newcastle’s  ‘Engaging With Disability’ conference last week.

The event was the first of it’s kind and aimed to bring together people living with a disability, and the organisations whose aim it is to improve social inclusion through the arts.

Given that the underlying philosophy of the Australian Dysphonia Network is that EVERY voice matters  – it was a perfect fit, allowing us to not only highlight the challenges of life with dysphonia, but to reinforce the rights for everyone to be included and heard.

Our recent World Voice Day events in Newcastle, Sydney and Penrith highlighted the joy of inclusion and celebration of what so many of us take for granted … the joy of singing and being heard.

Thanks to the organisers for allowing us to showcase the work of ADN and for sharing the vision of voice for all.
